Essay Topic: “My Experience of Overcoming Conflict”
Have you ever resolved a disagreement or conflict? Share your story about how you faced and overcame a challenge caused by different opinions or beliefs. What did you learn from this experience? How can you use this knowledge to improve your own life and help your community?
How to Write and Send Your Essay
- Length: Keep it under 700 words if you write in English or French. If you write in Japanese, keep it under 1600 characters.
- Format: Type your essay and send it as a Word document or PDF. Put your name, email, and the title of your essay at the top (these don’t count in your word limit).
- Originality: Make sure your essay is your own work and hasn’t been published before. Don’t use content from others or AI tools like ChatGPT.
- Only You: Your essay should be written by you alone, not with others.
Prizes and Awards
The contest rewards winners will get:

- First Prize: 100,000 Yen (approx. US$660), a certificate, and a special gift.
- Second Prize: 50,000 Yen (approx. US$330), a certificate, and a special gift for three entrants.
- Third Prize: A certificate and a gift for five entrants.
- Honorable Mentions: A certificate and a gift for 25 entrants.
- Special Gatherings: 1st to 3rd prize winners will be invited to an online Winners Gathering.
Application Process
- Age Limit: Participants must fall into one of two categories:
- Children (up to 14 years old)
- Youth (15 to 25 years old)
- Deadline: Submit your essay by June 15, 2024, at 11:59 PM your local time.
